John Hingley of Renovagen, has created a new "carpet-like" flexable solar panel that, when rolled out in under 2 minutes via a vehicle from a large steel housing, has a capacity of 18KW, or 6x the typical family solar panel. The large surface area of the mat does not even have to lay flat and could be used in all sorts of industries, from festivals to mining; natural disaster areas to the military. John says future plans for the panels include scaling up to fit entire rolls inside shipping containers. John is helping to innovate and create a brighter future for everyone! If you'd like to learn more about John and his flexable solar panels head over to Renovagen's website!
There's a Total Solar Eclipse happening tonight about 8pm EST. If you do not live in the correct area to view it outside (wear protection!!) there are plenty of places to watch it live online! If you would like to learn more about what exactly a solar eclipse is, head over the website of the California Exploratorium to not only watch the event live, but browse their well done educational video collection
There are some very fascinating discoveries coming out of Harvard about their trip to the Himalayas to visit the Monks who live there. With considerable control over their mental states, the monks can influence their bodies to do things typically considered outside of human abilities; such as raising the temperature of their body so much that they can dry wet towels, or even lower their metabolism by over 60%. I hate to leave you hanging, but these discoveries and more will be explored in depth, and of course heavly sourced, in the continuation of my paper.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week, and I hope to see more of you back here!
